Empowerment Bag Delivery

Picture

Empowerment Bags are for women staying at Unforgotten Haven. When a woman and her children arrive , they usually come with nothing but the clothing on their backs. These bags will give them some hope that someone cares. That someone is us.

DKG-NJ welcomes donations

Donations to DKGNJ to help raise money for the Dedicated Funds are always welcome.

Congratulations on a Very Successful Fundraiser
We were able to raise over $800 in sales of the Boscov's shopping passes on October 20th. Thanks to our in store sellers!
FYI regarding  Membership Guidelines -
Instructional Para-professionals are now eligible for membership in DKG.  They must be instructing one-on-one or with a group and do not need to hold a teaching certificate.
If you've been thinking of inviting an educator to join our Chapter, ask away! Consider your retired or near retirement stage colleagues! Forward their name(s) to Jane and Tiffany will follow up.

News You Can Use

Recipe to Share!

Lynda Ritterman made the most delicious dessert.
Here is her recipe:
Lemon Delight:
1 bag of lemon snaps (from Sprouts)
2 pkgs of lemon pudding mix
       1 qt milk
1 large tub of Cool Whip
Mix the lemon pudding with the qt of milk for 5 minutes.  Refrigerate pudding for several hours, or overnight.
      Crush the lemon cookies.
Mix the cookies with the pudding.
       Fold in the Cool Whip.
     Very easy.  Enjoy!
I also think this would be good with ginger snaps and butterscotch pudding, or I have also made it with chocolate pudding and Oreos. Delish!
