A Word from our President![]() Tribute for Maria Hall Peg Madison and Roxanne Adinolfi have offered to write the tribute for Maria Hall. This tribute will be read at the Celebration of Life Ceremony at the State Convention. To make this a collaborative effort, please forward to Peg or Roxanne a memory or sentiment you would like to share. Peg and Roxanne will try and incorporate your sentiments as they write Maria's tribute. Please limit your remembrance to two lines and send by February 3rd. The State Convention-Doubletree Hotel- April 5-7 Hotel and Convention registration is up on the State website. Go to DKGNJ.org. At the top of the page go to "What We Do." Click on Convention link and register for the hotel and the convention. Please try and make your reservation by March 5 so your room will count towards the room guarantee for DKG. Please let me know if you are going and which days and/or nights you will attend. ________________________________________ You Are Invited To The Sigma Chapter Business Meeting When: Thursday, February 21 at 5:00 pm Where: Renita Lipniski’s home - 9 White Chapel Drive, Mt. Laurel Dinner – Cost $15 (Chicken Parm, pasta, salad, rolls, water, seltzer, desserts, coffee) Before our business meeting, Eric Young from the Alice Paul Institute will update us on what the Alice Paul Advocacy Committee has been doing to promote the passing of the ERA. Attention Working Sigma Teachers!!! Gather any classroom projects we can help you with and bring them to the February meeting. At the end of the meeting, we will cut, sketch, make, grade papers...anything at all that will free up some time for you. Empowerment Bags We will be collecting supplies again this year to be donated to a domestic violence safe house. This project is run by the Unforgotten Haven. The flyer explains the items that are needed. You can send your $10 by check or use the related pay pal button. ___________________________________________________ New Membership Guidelines - At the recent State meeting, it was announced that Instructional Para-professionals are now eligible for membership in DKG. They must be instructing one-on-one or with a group and do not need to hold a teaching certificate. If you've been thinking of inviting an educator to join our Chapter, ask away! Forward their name to me and Tiffany will follow up. Invite them to our February meeting or the Alice Paul Tour. It's a great informal way to get to know us. Thanks for the warm hats and gloves donations and for coming to join us for this annual event. The setting, food, and company were wonderful. Hope your holidays were happy and the new year is a good one for all of us!
